Viet Nam Mission
8 pp · war

When Cpl. Arnie Webb's jeep is ambushed and his commanding officer, Lt. Col. Jeff Hogarth, is captured by Viet Cong forces headed north toward their training camp, Webb sets out to track them through the jungle with a determined platoon. Using clues left by the Colonel himself and his own quick thinking, Webb guides his Marines through a gauntlet of mines and ambushes, calling in air support to turn the tables on a much larger enemy force. It's a tense race against time to rescue their commander before the Communists can move him deeper into hostile territory.

Invisible Death
4 pp · war

A Marine patrol runs into invisible death when Viet Cong fighters attack from hidden tunnel networks, striking fast and vanishing before they can be engaged. Sgt. Fuller and his squad struggle against an enemy they can't see, until one soldier recalls an old hunting trick—using smoke to reveal escape routes. With smoke grenades and quick thinking, the Marines finally turn the tables on their elusive foe.

Outpost
3 pp · war

Cpl. Henry Lang and Pfc. John Wolf are serving as military advisors at a quiet village outpost when Viet Cong snipers begin attacking—one round even pierces Lang's armor. Wolf, a transplanted Seminole tracker from the Florida swamps, uses his hunting skills to pursue the enemy into the jungle, where he methodically locates and engages the V.C. force throughout the night. By morning, the threat is neutralized, and Wolf emerges confident that his jungle expertise has turned the tide at the outpost.

Too Mean to Die
8 pp · war

PFC Tuck Hanson and Sgt. Humboldt are the last two survivors of their Scouts and Snipers platoon during the brutal assault on Betio, wading through murderous machine gun fire to reach the beach. When Hanson falls wounded, the unstoppable Humboldt charges forward alone, taking out enemy positions and inspiring a fresh wave of Marines to push deeper into the Japanese defenses. As the fight escalates from the beach to a heavily fortified pillbox, Humboldt's sheer grit and mean streak keep driving the assault—but even the toughest Marine has his limits.
