"An Adventure of Dr. Mensana" follows a scientific expedition led by Professor Stone to the Nullabor Plain in Australia, a region known as "the land of living fossils" where prehistoric creatures still exist. The team travels through underground caves and encounters giant prehistoric monsters, including a massive crocodilian creature that they manage to capture with steel cable. After securing a specimen of the prehistoric "Lepidotus" fish and being attacked by flying dinosaurs and other ancient beasts, Professor Stone stubbornly refuses to leave with Dr. Mensana and Greg, choosing instead to remain with his specimens despite the dangers.
