Davy Crockett #6 (1956)

Davy Crockett leads a settlement guard against raids by Black Fox and his warriors, but recognizes that Black Fox's attacks stem from the tribe's hunger as game has disappeared from their lands. After a failed winter hunt yields no buffalo or deer, Gordon offers the tribe new hunting grounds in exchange for peace, but Young Eagle, the chief's son, refuses the proposal out of pride. Crockett appeals to the council, arguing that the tribe's survival depends on accepting help, and the chief agrees to the arrangement, ending the conflict.
