Crime Does Not Pay #42 (1945)

In the midst of a lively Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans, a skeleton-clad figure is found hanging from a balcony, sparking panic among the guests. As tensions rise, a mysterious impostor—disguised as the late Mr. ATKIN—has been seen earlier in the evening, and suspicion quickly turns to those closest to him, especially his friend DUNTHER, whose size and alibi make him a prime suspect. With the party now a scene of dread, the truth behind the murder begins to unravel, but the real culprit remains hidden in plain sight.
