Roger Touhy and his gang, hiding in a series of apartments after a jailbreak, grow increasingly tense as rivalries flare—especially between Touhy and his lieutenant Banghart, who schemes to take control. As the FBI, using a network of informants and careful surveillance, closes in on their hideout, the gang’s paranoia and internal conflicts make their capture inevitable.
