This anthology issue contains four stories: "Scamp," in which the young dog's attempts to help his sick master backfire comically, culminating in a fever that requires isolation; "Splash Page and the Grey Rocket," where reporter Splash Page and pilot Tony Marsh test a prototype rocket but encounter sabotage, forcing an emergency landing that Tony must recover from in the hospital; "Buck Jones in the Secret of Red Canyon," in which Buck Jones and his gang pursue Peg-Leg and his outlaws through a canyon to rescue kidnapped men held in gold diggings; and "Don Deeds," featuring characters transporting a state diamond through a fortress in a rolling sphere that must break through enemy tanks.
