Comet #202 is an anthology featuring three stories: "Shorty the Deputy" shows a short cowboy demonstrating his expert lasso skills to a newcomer, ultimately losing control when the rope tangles around a tree and wild horse; "Tough Tex" follows a sailor whose ship's propeller breaks, stranding him and his crew—Tex improvises fishing equipment from bicycle parts and invents a pedal-powered paddle boat to catch whales and return home; "Mick the Moon Boy" details a confrontation between young Mick Luckhier and gunslinging outlaws Straggly Whiskers and Hank, with Mick's fallen pistol mysteriously exhibiting electrical properties that help repel the villains; and "Kit Carson Takes the War Path" (continued) depicts Carson and his men in a canyon ambush by Chippewa warriors and Red Warriors, with Carson's troops scattered on a cliff face and running low on ammunition.
