Comet #109 is an anthology featuring four stories: "Scamp," a comic strip about a mischievous red dog whose walk with his master's son goes awry when he encounters a model aeroplane club and inadvertently causes an airplane crash; "Splash Page and the Missing Prince," in which Splash Page and her friend Jill attempt to rescue the Boy Prince Stefan from crooks and a demon, ultimately discovering a plot involving a kidnapped prince and crown jewels at Kiltic Castle in Scotland; "Buck Jones and the Kid from Dallas," where Buck Jones investigates the mysterious beating and robbery of his brother Cruncher Garrett and encounters a suspicious kid hiding in a canyon shack; and "Don Deeds," which follows Don Deeds' rescue attempt of Mai-Mai from Ah Lee, during which they discover a mysterious rolling sphere and encounter strange island phenomena.
