Candy, "America's Favorite Teen-Age Girl," becomes involved in a bowling tournament where she must help her friend Herbie win by keeping her participation secret, as the tournament is restricted to men only. When Candy disguises herself and competes, her deception is discovered, leading to complications with various boys pursuing her, including Ted Dawson who wants her for the school orchestra.
