Bob Swift and his friend Tom head out to a fishing spot on Tom's paddle-board, where Bob encounters a large fish underwater and must dive to pursue it. Back home, Bob's father is preparing for a bear hunt in Alaska and insists on going alone despite Bob's pleas to join him, but eventually allows Bob to accompany him on the dangerous expedition. While hunting in the wilderness, Bob and his father spot a massive grizzly bear, and after Bob's shot appears to miss, the bear charges; Bob's father instructs him to stay low and avoid a bad fall as the bear approaches their position.
