This anthology issue features "Picnic Pay-Off," in which Jimmy and his sister Susy ride their bicycles to the Big Falls, encounter criminals hiding in the woods, and help alert adults to their presence, resulting in the criminals' capture. Additional stories include "Buttinsky," about a young boy who becomes a neighborhood nuisance by repeatedly hitting bumps on his bike and getting into accidents; and "Bike News," depicting how children use bicycles for work and entrepreneurship, including Barbara helping at a supermarket and Eddie and Porky Parker selling tickets and earning money for a fence. The issue concludes with educational safety messages about careful and cautious bicycle riding.
