Symbol of Defeat
8 pp · war

During the bitter winter campaign of 1944, PFC Gerald Haney finds himself alone on a Belgian road when a massive Nazi panzer column thunders through—but a destroyed bridge blocks their path forward. When the tanks turn back, Haney teams up with French Resistance fighters and local civilians to set an electrical mine trap, hoping to cripple the German advance before it can strike at the vital crossroads of St. Vith. As the heavily armed column returns, Haney must nerve himself to detonate the explosives and face professional German soldiers in close combat.

Ghost Battalion
4 pp · war

A rifle platoon from the 1st Cavalry (Airmobile) Division hunts Viet Cong fighters hidden throughout the jungle near Plei Me, only to watch their quarry vanish into the dense terrain after each skirmish. When Sergeant Brill goes missing during pursuit, a quick-thinking soldier uses the enemy's own tactics—slipping into one of their hidden holes to wait and strike when reinforcements arrive. The gamble pays off in a coordinated assault that turns the hunters into the hunted.

The Right Gun at the Right Time
3 pp · war

When Chinese Communist forces flood across the Korean border in 1950, a company of 8th Army soldiers must defend a field hospital with whatever weapons they can muster—including a quad .50 halftrack and a bazooka team with a devastating but risky 75-yard effective range. As the enemy's superior T-34 tanks close in, the crew discovers that the right tool, used with skill and nerve, can turn the tide against overwhelming odds.

The Lost Platoon
8 pp · war

A young lieutenant and his cut-off platoon hole up in a Korean cave during the fighting around the Yalu River, but they refuse to simply wait for rescue—instead, they wage a guerrilla campaign against the Chinese Communist forces, striking enemy supply lines and tank depots from their hidden base. With nothing but salvaged weapons, rationed supplies, and the hope that the 8th Army will eventually reach them, the men must decide whether survival means hiding indefinitely or continuing to fight the war from an impossible position.
