In Zipper #2 (2007), a vigilante’s clash with local drug dealers hits the news, drawing the attention of Dr. Deveroux, a charismatic preacher building an alien invasion cult, while Detective Maki arrests Ral and Ronnie after watching the broadcast. On the way to the station, she leaves her prisoners in the car, and Ral—still in his Zipper suit—steps in to stop a robbery in a parking lot. Meanwhile, the Etherian hunters descend on Earth, hunting the missing Ral. Written by Tom Waltz and illustrated by Casey Maloney, with inks by Marc Rueda, colors by Dusty Yee, and letters by Neil Uyetake, the cover by Casey Maloney captures the escalating tension.
