Zein is thrust into the spotlight after saving the UN Secretary General from an assassination attempt during the dedication of Pharaoh Ra-Eez II at the National Museum. Later, Zein recalls how he came to be. Many millennia ago, an extinction event was imminent. 13 hibernation chambers were created to ensure survivors would rebuild the Empire-- one for each of the Pharaoh's children. But on their awakening years later, all but Zein and Nefertah abandoned their duty. Then, using a sacred gem, the world's tragic history was revealed to Zein.
