“Love Me, Love My Job!”

In "Love Me, Love My Job!", Elizabeth, a young woman in postwar England, finds herself drawn to Tom, an American Air Force officer staying with her family. But haunted by her father’s death as an R.A.F. pilot, she fears Tom’s dangerous work as a test pilot will end in tragedy—especially when she tries to keep him from flying, only to see her fears confirmed when his plane crashes and he loses his memory. With art by Bill Fraccio and inks by Tony Tallarico, and a cover by Harry Harrison, this heartfelt 1953 romance explores love, loss, and the quiet hope that comes when healing begins.

In England, Elizabeth falls in love with boarder Tom, a visiting American Air Force officer. However, Elizabeth’s father was an R.A.F. pilot killed during the war and Elizabeth fears Tom’s work as a test pilot will also prove fatal. When he won’t change his mind, she tries to trick him into missing a flight, but he finds out and they break up. Tom’s plane crashes and he contracts amnesia. The doctors use her to bring him back to normal. He’s also grounded from flying, so everyone is happy.
