“Double Wedding!”

In "Double Wedding!", Cass, a charming carnival performer, spins a web of deception while working at the home of wealthy Elizabeth Hartley, all to win the heart of her niece, Dora. As his scheme unfolds, old flames and unexpected alliances threaten to unravel his plans—until a surprising twist from Aunt Elizabeth changes everything. Bill Draut handles both art and inks with a keen eye for period detail, and Ben Oda’s crisp lettering keeps the drama crisp and clear. A 10-cent comic from 1953, this issue captures the quiet tension and emotional stakes of young love in a world where second chances are rare.
