Jill and Bob were students at the local college of drama and were planning to get married when they had enough money. But a wealthy, old friend of Bob's stops off for a week on his way to the south of France and he determines to make Jill one of his conquests. After he succeeds and her relationship with Bob is broken, he leaves for France without her. Realizing she had given up everything, Jill quits school and goes to London where she gets work with the TV advertising agencies.
