Yogi Bear and Boo Boo launch a forest newspaper, but a mix-up in notes leads Boo Boo to misreport that Mel Moose is secretly close with Barney Bull, the forest's self-proclaimed tough guy. The whole woods buzzes with rumors, and suddenly everyone’s wondering if peace—or a prank—is brewing in the woods.

Yogi Bear and Boo Boo find their usual nap spot disrupted when a pair of snowplanes crash-land outside their tree, followed by an escaped convict and his Mounted Police pursuer—both eager for a rest. With the two rivals commandeering Yogi’s bed, the bear and his pal decide to take a ride on the snowplanes, leading them straight into a meet-up with the convict’s pals.

Yogi Bear, ever the dreamer, sets his sights on flying like a bird—until he accidentally commandeers a plane at an airport, finding himself in the pilot’s seat with no idea how to fly. With a pair of crooks now in control, Yogi’s wild idea takes a dangerous turn as the plane takes off, leaving him stranded in the cockpit.
