Mr. Kirin takes the Higurashi family hostage with a demon plant, intent on forcing Towa to use her demonic energy to power the Windmill of Time and link it with the Grim Comet. Using the mystic energy of the Tree of Ages, Kagome is able to launch an enchanted arrow from the fifteenth century through time in hopes of thwarting Kirin's ambitions.
