I en dold stad, byggd under isen till en sjö, härskar "De sju visa". Med hjälp av en sinnrik mekanism kidnappar de alla barn som kommer ut på isen. Yann, som på sina vandringar råkar bli vittne till hur en pojke sjunker ner genom isen, bestämmer sig för att ta reda på hemligheten bakom försvinnandena.
