About this Collection

This collection brings together the complete run of the humorous fantasy comic strip Yamara, originally serialized in the pages of Space Gamer magazine and later collected by Steve Jackson Games. The strip follows the misadventures of a barbarian warrior woman and her companions in a world that gleefully parodies both sword-and-sorcery tropes and tabletop roleplaying game conventions. Created by writer/artist Barbara Manui and writer Chris Adams, Yamara is a lighthearted, gag-a-day strip that delighted fans of gaming culture throughout its 1980s and early 1990s run.
