Magneto, now wielding power beyond his former reign, captures the X-Men and imprisons them in a high-tech lair beneath an active volcano. Trapped and silenced, the team is forced to endure their helplessness as a robotic nanny tends to their every need—while Magneto plots his ultimate revenge.

In "Showdown!", the X-Men break free from their prison chairs and confront Magneto in a high-stakes battle beneath the Antarctic ice. As the base collapses and lava floods the tunnels, Phoenix shields Beast from the flames—leaving the rest of the team seemingly lost in the inferno.

In "Experiment X," Wolverine is captured and brought to Weapon X, where the Professor and his team, including Dr. Cornelius and Hines, initiate a brutal transformation. As the procedure begins, the subject's body reacts in alarming ways—drawing massive amounts of adamantium from the system in unpredictable, escalating ways.
