“Shadow on the Stars”

In "Shadow on the Stars," Professor X recounts the near-catastrophic Z'Nox invasion, rallying the Fantastic Four to prevent another world from falling. As Angel and Avia are handed over to a cloaked figure in black, Havok, Lorna, and Ka-Zar use a portable Cerebro to track Iceman, while the X-Men and Fantastic Four clash with the Z'Nox—Marvel Girl suddenly senses an immense presence, and a fiery bird swirls around her. Written and illustrated by John Byrne, with inks by Tom Palmer and Joe Sinnott, and colors by Greg Wright, the cover by Byrne captures the moment’s tension in stark, dramatic detail.
