Iceman washes up on a beach in the Savage Land and is rescued from predators by an unnamed individual. Candy Southern and the professor discuss why Candy came to the X-Mansion. Beast is attended to medically by Ororo and her tribe. Beast, Marvel Girl, and Ororo attempt to rescue Cyclops from the mutant known as Deluge but become captured themselves. Deluge attempts to drown them in a flood. Ka-Zar, Havok, and Lorna (who gives up her Magnetrix title) are assaulted by survivors from the Land of the Dead. Angel and Avia are rescued at sea by a fishing boat.
