“Friends and Enemies”

In the final chapter of *X-Men: The Hidden Years*, the series reaches its conclusion with layered stories converging: Professor X teams up with the Fantastic Four to face Magneto, while the X-Men break free from the Mole Man’s clutches. Amid the chaos, Havok and the Professor race to save Polaris from the Promise, where Tobias Messenger meets his end. As the dust settles, Professor X departs the Martin household, and the team returns to the mansion to celebrate Beast’s birthday a week later. Written and illustrated by John Byrne, with inks by Tom Palmer, colors by VLM, and letters by Byrne, the cover by Byrne captures the emotional weight of the moment.
