X-Men: Phoenix - Endsong #5
"Phoenix Endsong Part Five" delivers a thunderous climax to one of the X-Men’s most emotionally charged arcs, as the Phoenix Force—freed from its prison and now in Emma Frost’s body—faces its final reckoning. With Jean Grey awakening from stasis to confront the cosmic entity she once was, the battle becomes less about power and more about identity, memory, and the love that binds the X-Men together. Written by Greg Pak and illustrated with fierce precision by Greg Land, with inks by Matt Ryan, colors by Justin Ponsor, and letters by Clem Robins, the issue’s cover by Greg Land and Matt Ryan captures the moment’s devastating weight.

Quentin frees Phoenix, who has possessed Emma Frost, from the energy egg the X-Men have trapped her in. She tries to resurrect Sophie for Quentin but cannot. As Phoenix prepares to destroy all life on earth, Jean comes out of stasis and battles her. The Phoenix Force once again inhabits Jean's body and the X-Men keep her from her path of destruction by showing her how much she is loved.
