“Part 1: The Ties That Bind”

In "Part 1: The Ties That Bind," Cyclops returns to the X-Men, reuniting the team just as strange shifts in their powers leave them reeling—Beast is stunned to find Nightcrawler now fully human and Rogue transformed into a blue, fuzzy figure. With Gambit, Sabretooth, Fury, and Daisy infiltrating the hidden Consortium headquarters beneath the U.N. building, Kitty uses her tech skills to track them down, leading the team into a dangerous confrontation. Written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by Graham Nolan, with inks by Scott Koblish, colors by Guillem Mari, and letters by Tom Orzechowski, the issue’s cover by Tom Grummett and Terry Austin captures the tension of a mission gone deep underground.

Cyclops returns to the team. Beast discovers that Nightcrawler, now looking completely human, and Rogue, now looking blue and fuzzy, have switched powers.
