“The Lady Takes a Chance”

In "The Lady Takes a Chance," Lady Deathstrike returns with the Reavers, hunting Leech into the Morlock tunnels where an alien vessel lies sealed—something even Callisto and her people can’t unlock. Written by Ralph Macchio and illustrated by Manny Clark, with inks by James Pascoe and colors by Matt Webb, this 1995 issue features a cover by John Hebert.

Lady Deathstrike and the Reavers chase Leech into the Morlock tunnels where they find an alien vessel that Callisto and her band cannot open. Deathstrike, an old flame of Logan's, lures Wolverine into the tunnels to force him to help her breach the artifact. After they battle and rehash old wounds, the vessel gets cracked and begins to open.
