The Panini France X-Men bimonthly series relaunched at #1 in January 2025, directly succeeding the 'Fall of the House of X / Rise of the Powers of X' volumes that had collected the entire Krakoan era since 2020. The editorial decision — reported by comicsblog.fr in September 2024 — was to retain the bimonthly omnibus formula while aligning the numbering reset with Marvel's own 'From the Ashes' relaunch, which Marvel editorial director Tom Brevoort had introduced as a deliberate 'play the hits' return to the X-Men's hated-and-feared premise after five years of the Krakoa nation-state experiment. The US source material — X-Men by Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman, Uncanny X-Men by Gail Simone and David Marquez, and Exceptional X-Men by Eve L. Ewing and Carmen Carnero, all announced at SXSW in March 2024 — was translated by Studio Makma for the French market, with each Panini volume supplemented by a lithograph from a numbered series and a cover gallery, production elements specific to the French edition.
