Based on the Ming dynasty novel Investiture of the Gods, the story follows the scheming sage Taikoubou (太公望) as he is tasked with capturing and sealing evil spirits to prevent a celestial conspiracy. This volume collects the opening chapters of the epic fantasy saga, originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump.
