May 2005 · DC
“The Composite Superman”

In "The Composite Superman," a freak accident imbues Joe Meach with the combined powers of the entire Legion of Super-Heroes, transforming him into a being of near-infinite might. As he overwhelms both Superman and Batman, his power begins to wane—leaving him stripped of strength and memory, vanishing without a trace. Written by Edmond Hamilton and brought to life with classic precision by Curt Swan, with inks by George Klein, this 2005 issue features a cover by Swan and Klein that captures the moment of Joe’s transformation.
