“The Westward Passage”

In "The Westward Passage," Archie stumbles upon a sea monster and its Viking guardians during an expedition at Mystic Lake, returning with a helmet horn as proof—only to be met with disbelief. When Betty accidentally blows the horn at Veronica’s party, the Vikings reemerge, reclaim the horn, and vanish once more. Written by Bob Bolling and illustrated by Rex Lindsey, with colors and inks by Lindsey and letters by Bill Yoshida, this 2019 adventure blends myth and mystery in a story that’s as quirky as it is compelling. The cover, by Rex W. Lindsey, captures the moment of sudden return.
