“My Fair Super Hero, Part 2”

In "My Fair Super Hero, Part 2," Wonder Man takes a risky step toward redemption by trying to help Huan leave her criminal past behind. As their uneasy alliance unfolds, Huan reveals the painful truth of her origins—sold into exploitation as a child and drawn into the shadow of the Mandarin after a violent act of self-defense. Written by Peter David and illustrated by Andrew Currie, with inks by Drew Hennessy and colors by Sotocolor's A. Crossley, this issue deepens the emotional stakes with a cover by Currie and Hennessy.

Simon begins to try and rehabilitate Huan from her life of crime. She eventually tells him that she was sold into prostitution as a child and ended up becoming a disciple of the Mandarin after strangling her first client. She only does this, however, to lull him into a false sense of security so she can attempt to escape.
