With appearances by Mastermind, Martinique Wyngarde, Miss Locke, and Yukio, the story explores themes of loyalty and betrayal as the two X-Men are forced to confront their darkest memories to survive Arcade's twisted amusement park of death.
In "Victims Part One: In Harm's Way," Wolverine and Gambit are wrongly accused of a series of brutal murders in London, forcing them to flee a hostile police force. Helped by a mysterious woman named Martinique—who claims to be acting on Nick Fury’s orders—they escape into the city’s dark sewers, only to face a chilling betrayal when Gambit lights a match and discovers Logan has killed their ally. Written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated with stark, moody precision by Tim Sale, the cover by Tim Sale captures the tension in every shadow.
