“Mr. Fixit Comes to Town”

In "Mr. Fixit Comes to Town," Wolverine finds himself caught in a web of intrigue when the Hulk—disguised as the enigmatic Mr. Fixit—is hired to eliminate General Coy, whose opium shipment was destroyed by Wolverine. With Baran, the Prince of Madripoor, secretly a fan of Lindsay McCabe films, the power balance shifts as the Prince pits Coy against Tyger to prevent any single crime lord from challenging his control. Written by Chris Claremont and brought to life with dynamic art by John Buscema on both interior and cover, this 1989 issue blends sharp wit and high-stakes tension in a story that redefines what it means to be a fixer in Madripoor.

Hulk, as Mr. Fixit, is hired to take out General Coy, who has defaulted on his shipment of opium to Fixit's employer, as a result of Wolverine destroying Coy's product. Baran, the Prince of Madripoor, turns out to be a big Lindsay McCabe movie fan. The Prince makes Tyger and Coy rival crime lords in order to lessen the chance either one becomes too powerful on their own and tries to rival his dominance.
