Wings Comics #82 is an anthology featuring multiple aviation-themed stories. The issue includes "Captain Wings and the Spider and the Fly-Guy," in which a woman named Laura Gwynn becomes entangled with criminals and airmen. Another prominent story follows Wing Commander Douglas Bader, a decorated RAF pilot who is shot down over France, taken prisoner by the Nazis, and later escapes from a German hospital by lowering himself from a third-story window on bedsheets before being recaptured—ultimately remaining a prisoner of war until peace is declared. The issue also features "Air Heroes" stories and other tales, as indicated on the cover alongside references to "Ghost Squadron" and "Phantom Falcon."
