Wings Comics #75
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeCaptain Wings stars in "The Sky Hag," a story in which Wings and his colleague Cochran plan a secret supply mission behind Japanese lines in Burma, using gliders to deliver ammunition and munitions to support a jungle army. When photos reveal the Japanese have discovered one of their landing strips, Phil makes a final check and finds it destroyed, but the mission proceeds at dusk with two glider transports towing toward a new field called "Broadway." The operation succeeds despite a mule kicking a hole in a glider wall, and the jungle army's subsequent victories are attributed to the Air Commando tactics pioneered by Cochran. The issue also includes the Phantom Falcon and Ghost Squadron stories as indicated on the cover.
Captain Wings and an American girl reporter named Alice find themselves caught in the crosshairs of the Sky Hag, a ruthless pirate queen commanding a criminal empire across China's waters—but when their plane is shot down and they're taken prisoner, they discover the villain's most dangerous secret hideout and a chance to turn the tables. With help from Griper and a blimp squadron, Wings must outmaneuver the Sky Hag and her cutthroat gang before she escapes with a fortune in stolen gold.
