The lead story, "Clipper Kirk Wrecks a Nazi-Spy Squadron in Rockets Away," follows Clipper Kirk as he disrupts enemy operations. Additional stories include "Captain Wings" and "Grease Monkey Griffin," along with a prose story titled "Thunder Behind Tokio" by Jans Jorgensen, in which Lieutenant Tex Grainger undertakes a dangerous reconnaissance mission to gather intelligence on Japanese installations near Tokyo, seeking information on airstrips, wireless stations, and military facilities to aid Allied operations in the Pacific theater.
Captain Wings pilots a desperate reconnaissance mission over enemy waters in the South China Sea, where he encounters a half-American woman named Ting Hao Hogan fleeing a Japanese prison convoy—and learns the location of a crippled enemy carrier ripe for attack. Together they scout the target, but Ting is mortally wounded before they can return to base, making a dying request that sets Wings on a high-stakes bombing run to finish the job. The stage is set for an explosive clash of wits and firepower as Wings coordinates a coordinated strike against a Japanese admiral who's prepared a deadly trap in the skies above the carrier.
