One story follows Clipper Kirk on a dangerous mission to destroy an armored Nazi train carrying important cargo using an experimental aircraft equipped with light bombs and special switches. In another tale, Skull Squadron pilots receive orders to intercept a Nazi train and successfully destroy it, with soldiers engaging in ground combat against enemy forces; the story concludes with a memorial to a fallen pilot named Captain Lord Lyell.
In Northern Tunisia, April 1944, Captain Lord Lyell—a Scottish peer commanding a small company of Scots Guards—leads his men on a desperate mission to neutralize a German 88mm gun blocking their advance. When a machine gun nest pins them down, Lyell charges forward with grenade and bayonet, personally silencing the German positions so his company can reach its objective. This true account honors an extraordinary act of wartime courage that would later earn Lyell posthumous recognition.
