History

Published in November 1994 by WildStorm Productions under the Image Comics imprint, this second and final issue of the Sourcebook series was written by Ted Adams, Sarah Becker, Bill Kaplan, and Jeff Mariotte — a collaborative editorial and freelance writing team with deep roots in the WildStorm editorial office. Jim Lee served as executive editor, and the cover was produced by Joe Madureira, then emerging as one of the most in-demand artists of the mid-1990s. The issue assembled an unusually large artistic bench — including Jae Lee, Paul Pelletier, Jason Pearson, Terry Dodson, Gary Frank, Tony Harris, Kelley Jones, and Roger Cruz among others — each contributing profile illustrations in the handbook format popularized by Marvel's Official Handbook series.
