Wild Bill Hickok rides into Indian Territory with Texas Rangers to confront an outlaw gang called the Devil's Gap bunch, who have been preying on settlers. Bill and his companions pursue the criminals through the canyon country north of the Arkansas River, ultimately cornering them in caves near Devil's Gap. The Rangers launch a daring assault using ropes to descend the canyon walls and attack the outlaws' stronghold, forcing the criminals to flee and ending their reign of terror.

Wild Bill Hickok

Wild Bill Hickok and a band of Texas cowhands stumble upon outlaws preying on trade wagons along the Santa Fe Trail, and when locals reveal the bandits hide in the nearly impregnable caves of Devil's Gap, Hickok decides to take them on. Using an ingenious plan involving lariats and the rimrock, he positions himself above the outlaws' hideout to pin them down while his companions mount a surprise assault from below. The clash between Hickok's cunning tactics and the desperados' last stand unfolds high above the canyon floor in this tale of frontier justice.

The Ambush of the Pony Express
7 pp · Western-Frontier

When a Pony Express rider named Bob Haslam takes the mail pouch at Friday's Station in 1860, he finds himself facing far more than a routine delivery—Piute warriors are on the warpath, stations are burning, and fellow riders are refusing to continue the route. Haslam tears across nearly four hundred miles of hostile territory, outrunning raids, outwitting ambushes, and even joining forces with some unexpected allies, all to keep the mail moving where others have given up. It's a relentless test of grit and determination that pushes both horse and rider to their absolute limits.
