Wild Bill Elliott Comics #12

Wild Bill Elliott investigates a plot involving Nouma and Poli, two young Native Americans on Black Mesa who wish to marry, when Poli is found dead. Bill discovers that white men on the mesa are blamed for the killing and that a wagon train of attackers is planning to assault the Native Americans, prompting Bill to join a wagon train to stop the violence. Bill pursues a fleeing suspect through the desert rocks and canyons, eventually cornering a prospector named Red Grant who confesses to accidentally shooting Poli while hiding in the rocks during a prospecting venture for gold in the Panhandle.
