In "The Big Blow!", a young woman tries to get her friends’ attention, but they’re too busy marveling at her father’s flashy new multimedia console—complete with TV, phonograph, and a radio that tunes into any station, anywhere. When she flips the dial to a barely audible frequency, the weather report from a distant, obscure station sends the group into a panic over an impending blizzard.

In "Heart's Desire," the big-hearted but awkward Tiny enlists the small-time schemer Bolo to help him win over Dodo, the girl with glasses he's smitten with. But when Dodo reveals her own fondness for Bolo, the con artist finds himself unexpectedly in the spotlight—just as Tiny’s plan begins to unravel.
