# Western Hero #94 The main story "Gabby Goes Wool-Gathering" follows Gabby Hayes as neighboring ranchers become suspicious of his friendship with the owner of the Bar Nothing Ranch, suspecting him of becoming a sheepman. When a stranger arrives at the Bar Nothing with three thousand head of cattle to relieve a food shortage, Gabby discovers this is actually a cover for a rustling operation led by Monte Hale. Gabby confronts the outlaws at Vingo's Bar X Ranch, where a gunfight erupts and criminals attempt to blow up a safe containing one hundred thousand dollars, but the safe remains intact after the explosion despite the chaos around it.
