Sheriff Ben Williams investigates and discovers the bandit's wagon passed through town, tracking it to a blacksmith shop where he learns the criminal had his wheel repaired—the same wheel now on Big Jack's wagon—revealing that Big Jack unknowingly purchased stolen goods and the actual robber remains at large.
