An aged prospector discovers gold after forty years of searching, only to have it stolen by an outlaw who threatens him at gunpoint in the desert. In a separate story, the outlaw Banty West and his gang plan a bank robbery on November 27, 1892, but a member named Billy becomes suspicious when the gang kills a man named Pete; the gang frames Billy for the murder, forcing him to flee and eventually expose Banty's treachery to the authorities in Mexico.
