This anthology issue contains multiple true stories of the Old West. One story follows the outlaw Morrell, who is hunted by a sheriff determined to prove he took Morrell's scalp, eventually capturing and sentencing him to life imprisonment. Another story features Jake the miner and his associates Romero and Dick, who attempt to steal gold and rob a stagecoach but are ultimately stopped by Judge Boggs and his deputies. A third story depicts Buffalo Bill Cody's early frontier career, showing how he reports an Indian attack at Fort Leavenworth to the Colonel, helps drive off the attackers, and begins his legendary rise as a plainsman, scout, and Indian fighter whose name would become as iconic to the Old West as the gun itself.
