Werewolf by Night: Red Band #6
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIssue #6 marks the formal entry of Queen Lilith into Jason Loo's ongoing Red Band narrative, dramatically escalating a villain roster that had previously been anchored by the Hood and the Darkholders — a structural shift that drives the arc toward its climax across the series' final issues. The issue also carries two genuine first appearances in Baishan and Timber, expanding the corner of the Marvel Universe Loo is building around the werewolf mythology. Crucially, it is the chapter where Darkwolf finally receives a name after lurking as an unnamed creature since issue #3, transforming that threat from a monster-of-the-arc into a named character with ongoing potential. Taken together, these elements make #6 the hinge point of the entire Red Band volume — the moment the series pivots from setup to full supernatural siege.

The Red Band series launched in August 2024 as part of Marvel's then-new mature-content Red Band imprint, a line conceived to let creators push horror titles beyond the usual content guardrails with explicit-rated polybagged packaging. Writer Jason Loo, who had already been working in the Werewolf by Night corner of the Blood Hunt event, was tapped to helm a solo ongoing for Jack Russell, with Sergio Dávila (Venom, Thor) handling pencils for the early arc. Issue #6 saw a penciller change, with Ton Lima stepping in alongside inker Aure Jimenez, while Alex Sinclair provided colors and VC's Joe Sabino lettered — all under editor Devin Lewis. The cover was supplied by series cover regular E.M. Gist, with a Sergio Dávila variant also produced in polybagged form.
