Written, drawn, and inked by Harvey Kurtzman, with lettering by Ben Oda, this 1993 issue features a cover by Al Feldstein that captures the story’s eerie, offbeat tone.
In "Man and Superman!", atomic physicist Niels Urey Vannevar pushes the limits of science in his lab, while his brother Charlemagne Farbish—more focused on muscle than molecules—reluctantly joins him. When Charlemagne takes a risky chance with Niels' machine, he gains superhuman strength, but the power comes at a cost as his body begins to unravel under the strain.
In "Sinking of the Titanic!", British physicist George Seymore builds a time-travel machine to prevent the disaster that claimed his parents, John and Mrs. Seymore, decades earlier. Driven by grief and a desperate hope to rewrite history, he journeys back to 1912—only to find his actions entangle him in the very tragedy he sought to stop.
In "Divide and Conquer," a desperate scientist confronts a chilling betrayal when he discovers his wife plans to kill him—so he takes a radical, horrifying step to stop her. Injecting her with a mysterious solution, he triggers a process that splits her into countless miniature duplicates, each one a smaller, frantic version of herself. As the numbers grow beyond control, he faces the consequences of his own invention in a grotesque, escalating game of dominance.
