Sy Cyclop runs into Melvin with his car. Melvin ends up with a fan and tells his origin. He was Terrible Melvin, a kid-eating monster who other monsters were jealous of. They created a cursed peanut-butter kid which Terrible Melvin ate, making him weak. He was beaten by many monsters until he turned into ooze. The moon used the energies of the souls of the dead children to empower Weird Melvin. Meanwhile Sy goes to get moon dust to defeat Melvin. He shoves a canister of dust up Melvin's nose. Melvin sneezes, leveling the town and reverts to a wimp, burying himself for many years to rejuvenate.
